George Schmidt says I have taken his painting to a higher plane than was imagined. He says he's been slightly embarrassed by his own narrative, which he thought a bit raw. He wanted to know if he could put my gloss on the work if he ever applies for a grant from the National Endowment. I told him to feel free, they'd probably swallow it hook, line, and sinker.
