As I am sure you realize, and have probably said here, statistics can be manipulated to reflect just about anything you want.

The survey shows that 83 percent had worked since leaving welfare and that most of these were still working 83% of what? All 34000? Nope. Of all in the survey? How many was that? "Had worked"??At one time or were working right now? "Most"??What the heck does that mean?

80 percent of those with jobs "with" jobs at the time of the survey? 80% of what? the 83%

OK, that's 66% of the sample. 70% of those said life was better. That's 46% of the original sample.

So what's happening to the other 54% of the sample, which by the way could only be made up of people who could be found? They are working less than 30 hours a week or not at all, for a wage that's below average, and in some cases in desparate poverty that is worse than when they were on welfare.

Is this what you call success?
