I'm hoping to get out of some of my long term holdings. I've been out of long term stuff for so long... aside from some oil stocks I held for a while, I can't remember holding anything for much more than a swing trade, not since last year. Been out of technology since last spring. Smart? No, fear ;) Re ADX, just the standard 14 period ADX. I don't make use of DI +/- crossovers at all, just ADX for use as a trend gauge. Its quite useful in identifying periods of consolidation, so 'lack of trend' is very useful to know. But its just a guide and it does have failings. Price and volume are king and queen!
