Some chicken soup does sound mighty nice about now. For some reason I keep thinking about something our housekeeper made when my sister had a bad cold - chopped up raw onions, honey, lemon, and bourbon. My parents had gone away to see a Nascar race somewhere, maybe Daytona - and the housekeeper was taking care of us, and she kept spooning that mixture into my sister every time she coughed. When my parents got back, my sister had full blown pneumonia, and had to be hospitalized and put in an oxygen tent! So much for home remedies. -g-
