All. After today's discussion I decided to take esignal for a spin. The main reason for this is twofold. First, Michael Watkins switched from QC and uses them and is high on them. I respect his work and opinions from what I have seen and therefore that weighed high in my decision. Second, Chuck T from the esignal thread contacted me directly, without my prompting, to discuss whatever questions I might have. He then referred me to a customer service rep that was very helpful. I also perused the thread a bit and saw very few negative posts. That right there tells me they are about customer satisfaction and listen to what their customers have to say. Finally, they are going to make the mini feed from the CME available...the six month deal with $10 after that. This also shows a committment to their customers. For me, this was less of an issue as I noted I might be signing up for the full feed in the near future anyway, so the actual dollars don't mean a great deal...but the fact is, they show by offering it that they do in fact care about their customer's money. Something QC is apparently unable to do.

The attitude of the company is very positive and customer oriented. The reports I read on SI are positive. I am downloading and will be trying it out to see if it meets my needs. I suspect it will.

A note on the Tradestation deal and why I discarded them from consideration. One they don't offer futures...yet. Two my trading is off of very basic indicators at this time. I don't need more than that at this point, nor do I want it. I can tend to get mired down in too much stuff rather easily so I simply need a few things to check out then make a decision. At some point when I am able to trade as a full time job, I might be more interested in Tradestation, but for now, it would just be wasted money.

The next one I will try should I find esignal deficient for any reason would be the nextrend package. But until then, I am rocking on esignal. I will post here more as I learn it.
