Sir, Just a newbie as a poster. I have been trying to learn more about NG plays in Canada. Stockhouse has many leads, but as an outsider, I certainly do not understand why Canadian NG firms generally have lower p/e's than US counterparts. Second, several have taken positions for/against notion that NG is cyclical. Perhaps things are different now? There are short and longer-term cycles. Investment in NG has been too low for most of a decade and with pollution mandates, it seems more likely to me that NG valuations will fall less than traditional wisdom might project. Thus, when combined with relatively weak outlook for other sectors, NG opportunities in Canada may be the most promising arena. Don't mean to sound too cautionary, but I think many are also trying to assess the quantitative dimension to any contractions in demand related to macro events. And, '98 patch correction because of Asia might be mirrored here, though not as dramatically. Perhaps others might care to share views about Canadian opportunities?
