I agree with you that if they could be treated exactly as other people then there is really no dilema here. It seems a little egotistacle of the donor but there is plenty of that already. They don't have much of a chance to be treated like regular babies, however. It is not something you can force or legislate. If an adult is cloning himself or herself then the baby never had regular parents. The statistics on children growing up without regular parents has revealed that it brings with it a higher than normal rate of incidental problems.
