Today's action in that eight count was representative of floor murder. The floor traders are getting it because they keep trying to play the public zeal to enter and reap the swings. Mostly the public is coming in on the long side trying to pick a bottom to trade and the floor traders are legally front running those buys, only to see the market drop with them clamoring to exit. So the existence of the extended count which I noted first here in SI in 1998 is due to massive public involvement in raw speculation. It indicates that the public will have to be burned on the scale of the early '30s which the market now is closely following with all the players assuming their appropriate role.
