It indicates that the public will have to be burned on the scale of the early '30s which the market now is closely following with all the players assuming their appropriate role.

The early thirties were a time of volatile DOW movements correct?

I think you are right on...

especially on these lower volume trading days. As a novice I often sit back watching the action counting my imaginary $ paper trading. I should get in here I say... but I don't.

The breakdowns are coming now in places where breakouts happened before.

It's a great study.

Paper trading is just a thing, but I think it can lead to foolhardy unrealistic self confidence... and a desire to rush in where one doesn't belong. When the real money hits the floor, that is what really influences the action, and that's where the speculators are getting burned I imagine. Most have never seen this type of market environment, and I feel they will be hurt badly
