Shack,

I'm betting on a nasty decline today (Friday). If it doesn't happen, it will be because of rumor or actual announcement about Fed easing.

At this point, people are just beginning to realize that the Fed can't save this market. Not while the inflation warnings are blaring.

This is just my prediction for today. It's not based on anything beyond a gut feeling. We'll see.

Dave

I seem to be one of the few idiots still heavily short.

Well Shack I was right there with you. That 200+ point drop on the DOW was enough for me however. Bailed at -180 and dropping. Missed the last 40 points or whatever it was.

Cashed out my DOW index PUTs, MU, IBM at 100.70 or something like that. Closed out Mar 47 1/2 AMAT puts on decline to about 44. Why do these idiots keep supporting AMAT around 44. Are they nuts?

All I kept was ANF puts and AMAT puts. A few dangling IBM puts in one acct. Bring on the damn rally cause I am ready.
I missed the PPT intervention on Thursday and it was all to my good. I was watching the DOW index all day waiting for the same nonsense. I acted in advance as I did not want to be unloading PUTs into rapidly rising prices.

I forgot to add COLT. I do not know who brought this dog to my attention but I would like to say a few things.

1) THANKS!
2) They ran this POS up from 70 to 83 or something on news it only lost 1.5M instead of projected 2M or something like that. Wacked that mole, and covered at 73.
3) They had the audacity to bounce this dog all they way back to 80 right at the close. Wacked that mole again. Is this fun or what? PS: add COLT to my list of Shorts above.
4) Note of caution. The volumes on this POS is pathetic, bid ask spread was a full 2 points at one point of FRI.

Any thoughts on KO? Looking for good entries into other dogs. There has to be some.
You gave me a list but on thses DOW declines, perhaps some better candidates are available now.

Look at Max Pain on EMC. The most beautiful symetrical position you have ever seen. If they do not rally this sucker to precicely 50 (give or take a day or a point or so) at Mar expiry I may be inclined to eat this post.
When EMC hit the mid 30's APR 40 CALLS were probably a fantastic play for the criminally minded amongst us. Was that KISS who suggested this kind of manipulation.

Well, I will not get rolled over in this next runup like I did last time.

Sitting very very heavy in cash right now for the first time in months.

What a Week!
M
