JRI, agreed:Market is at mercy of AG.And don't you think
AG is at the mercy of PPI and CPI? i.e. everybody wants him
to lower rates " to save the economy ".
Well the Economy is not going too bad considering 4.2%
unemployment ( used to be 6-7 % at one time ),
( 10% in Europe ).
What the Fed does not want is to re-ignite Carter's inflation of ? 10% I think it was.
Correct me with any of these numbers.
So in fact, AG may want to wait for next CPI/PPI before
considering any rate cut at all, considering
the previous unexpected increase in CPI/PPI.
And tell the politicos in Washington
"hey folks, you got to cut taxes a n d spending "...
and do your part. I am not the sole supporting pillar
of the Economy ",

Every Company In The World Warns!
Every Company In The World (NASD: ECH!), which is involved in some vague unidentifiable way with technology, warned today that it will fall short of its first-quarter goal of 100% growth. "I beg your pardon," said interim CEO, Joe Anonymous, "I never promised you a rose garden.... Hey, that's kind of catchy." Anonymous now says his earlier guidance was not a "projection" but rather a "wild guess." "Problem was," said Anonymous, "that I was using one of those on-line calculators at www.add-it-up.com. It looked like a dinosaur - really cool. But I mistook the T-rex key for 'add', it should have been 'subtract'." Asked if there would be a recovery by the fourth quarter, Anonymous said, "not in the fourth quarter, but maybe in the fifth or sixth quarter. I'll have to check it out on my calculator". Long-term Anonymous is bullish. "I can't imagine anything people would rather spend their money on than our products," he said, as he smoked a cigarette and downed a popular prescription anti-depressant with a glass of diet soda.

where have you been buddy? The market has been ugly for weeks. Look at the impressive string of lower lows. I really do not thing we will get a capitulation to make the bottom obvious, unless something external happens, man made or natural. The selling has been too organized. The bottom will be a more grinding out affair, slowing ridding the market of weak hands.
