A.J.,

in theory, you are correct but in the real world, people make mistakes. 3G in Europe is one huge mistake.

Pertaining to your point, just plug in some numbers. UK and Germany 3G spectrum went for about $500 per pop, per POP, not subscribers. How much is the build out? At the rate they are going, another $500? What percentage of the POP is going to be data users and when? It will be lucky if 10% of the POP will be using 3G data 5 years from now. That would bring the cost to $10,000 per subscriber. How are they going to recover that cost??????

Egoistic CEOs with creative accoutants can make anything pencil out, until they don't. After the rip off in UK and Germany, every 3G auction in Europe failed to meet expectations, even some of the beauty contests failed. A few months ago, we may still guessing but today, the facts are already out.

Ashley, you have been out to sea too much. Come back on land and see what had happened. <gggggg>
