dabum-
"Lack of visibility" translates into: "I don't care to forecast anymore, since I'm likely to be wrong, (again)".

Or perhaps it's:
"I haven't got a fu#king clue about what's happening, which is exactly where my competition is!"

Then again, it could mean:
"We want to keep everyone in the dark so we can get a jump on things when they do turn."

Or, even:
"you can't sue me for what I didn't predict!"

dabum3,

Any good ideas on quality high dividend yields? I posted one (SHI) over on SD several weeks back when it was at selling $10.00, but it has gone up to $14.40 since. Still has a 4% yield, but I liked it better at $10.

Jim

dabum3 RE: <<What is the true definition of "lack of visibility?">>

I think I know exactly what it means. It means that most of the factors they previously used to predict sales and profits are useless and they haven't figured out what to replace them with. In other words, the whole structure is crumbling and they don't know if it will fall.

Dabum3, I also want to thank you for bringing up the point that "no visibility" <<sounds like a phrase someone in the Clinton Administration would have made up. (Couldn't resist Ed....) >> It's difficult to know whether this would have been a phrase the Clinton administration would have made up SINCE THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THAT PHRASE during the Clinton presidency. (ggg)

Yes, I know that this is not Junior's fault but it was too much for me to resist. ED
