Let's see when Clinton came into office there was a recession and to this date there has not been another one. George W proclaimed with his premature victory in early November that the economy was heading for recession. He keeps preaching it to get his tax cut. Unfortunately, his being our leader has got folks listening thus he is becoming prophetic.

So Clinton inherited a recession, presided over the greatest economic boom ever, and left a strong heading for balanced budget economy, how does that credit him with economic disaster. Only, a totally narrow minded idiot would make such a claim. I think we have a winner.

George W. will get his tax cut and get his recession, and get his increases in defense spending. And his administration is rapidly trying to create enemies, unfortunately. And he will preside over a ballooning deficit again and that will happen by 2002.

I just hope our new administration gets some voices who alter the misguided start toward progress versus retrogress.

I have wasted these words on you but hopefully some rational Republicans will be open to some moderation in our new course.
