Wayne Angel always wanted to be Fed chairman.. now he gets a free podium to make 'inside' predictions that get him nearly as much press as the real thing. I just hope that Greenspan never amuses himself thinking he'll show Wayne who's the dog and who's the tail.

Some months ago in responding to a suit against Bear Stearns by an investor who claimed heavy losses from following Angell's advice, Bear Steans described its chief economist as an "entertainer".

When discussing Angell I must confess that I dislike him intensely because he was one of the architects of the Fed war on gold.
