Let the people decide. They did, and 3-4 years ago the people voted 2-1 to increase the sales tax one-half percent in Hamilton County, Ohio, to pay for the two new ballyards. No squawking yet about the soon-to-be-built park for the Reds, but plenty of people upset over Paul E. Brown Stadium, the fact that the Bengals keep getting worse every year, and the fact that the stadium cost $500 million, much more than anticipated. Part of the deal was that the county commissioners were going to roll back the property tax rate after the stadiums were built. Well, guess what. Looks like that ain't gonna happen either. So the taxpayers are going to be paying on these stadiums well after I've left this earth. Another form of corporate welfare for millionaires.
