I understand the hypothesis. I just find it tough to accept.

To me it seems improbable that mutations with no positive affect whatsoever would dominate the genome to the point that the overwhelming majority of the genome has no function of any nature whatsoever. I would speculate that there's a lot of gold remaining to be discovered.

However, I can also accept that an informed hypothesis is probably much more reliable than my completely uninformed speculation. <g> Thus, I'll let the discussion drop.
