"There are 20,000 anti GW sites on the internet"

Yes there are. A number of them have picked up on real weaknesses of Dubya, the major media ignores that. If the major media picks up the false ones and start to hammer him over it, or Congress investigates him based on that, I'll change my mind about Smirk. Since only the guys on the soapbox are hammering him, I'll keep it in reserve.

"So now you think CEO's should have special treatment. "

How did you get that out of my post? I do say they get special treatment, deserved or not.

"Newt was forced to resign as speaker of the house. "

But not for his affair. At least that was a very low-key mention at the time of his resignation. Considering that he resigned right after the impeachment of Bill, it is also fair to say that he did it because of a high profile failure. That's his story and he has stuck with it. I don't remember television interviews, newspaper articles, etc. about the issue. I do remember some questions, his answers, and that was that. Lasted, what? A week?

"As far as baseless, both Denise Rich and Beth Dozorots DNC party campaign donations chairman pleaded the fifth. Why, if the pardons were based on the merits, and the rumors are baseless?"

Why did they take the fifth? I dunno, do you? You can have your suspicions, and so may I, but taking the fifth is not considered to ba an admission of guilt. Even if there was some guilt associated with it, it may not involve Bill. In the case of Rich, Bill and Barak got along together very well. If Barak asked Bill to pardon Rich, I could see him doing it on that basis alone. While there may have been some behind the scenes scheming between Denise and Beth, it may not have involved His Billness. Or it might have. At this point it is only rumor and speculation. Like always. So if they spend another $100 million and investigate him and come up dry, what then?

"neither do the voters need a reasonable basis for voting for the other guy"

Yup. Your point? Bill ain't running. Even if he did, I never voted for him and likely wouldn't in the future, he pays way too much attention to polls for my taste. As far as the spineless Congresscritters, well a large number likely should be in jail themselves...
