I'll get back to other things in your post later, but: Do you approve of birth control? RU486, pill, condoms, etc.?
Because I would like to posit that birth control (other than the rhythm method, AKA Vatican Roulette) had a great deal to do with those dropping birth rates. People don't stop having intercourse because their great-great-grandchildren may run out of resources.
