Unfortunately that couple is trapped by the Govt system which is more concerned with re-election than providing value added services to its citizens.

There was no word from the B.C. government Sunday on what it will do. Shari Graydon, representative for Premier Ujjal Dosanjh, was trying to track down officials in the health department. Ewen said he was told the matter has been given top-priority status and awaits a decision from the health minister.

But I'm sure some folks at the university philosophy department will obtain a grant for a couple hundred G's to debate the ethics of live organ donors.

And what's truly absurd for this lame end of term government, is they could have scored brownie points by dealing with the issue in a prompt and humane fashion.

This has nothing to do with the healthcare system per-say, but with foolish government regulations on qualified donors.
