Hands, I am into one-armed lifts of every type lately. Why would the one-armed deadlift be any worse than the two-arm with a much heavier weight? Does it have something to do with balance? I often notice little twinges in my one-armed olympic bar overhead presses, but never a problem with the dead lifts.

Mom isn't doing that great. Since she takes immunosuppressants (cyclosporine) for her liver and kidney transplant, she heals very slowly. The medicine fights the normal healing process. Bruises seem to last forever on her. But she is a tough old coot, just as her Mother was. And they both make the same comment all the time, despite both of them being medical annuity providers <g> over the years: "doctors, what do they know?"
