The reports seemingly puts the performance of NTAP filer at a great advantage to EMC symmetrix. I question whether the company Input is well respected in the industry, whether its reports are widely read, and whether they are considered to be an impartial judge of products. I don't have answers to these questions but it the answers are in the affirmative, it suggests that NTAP will indeed be able to take away some business from EMC.

The INPUT report is a must read. It shows how NTAP has the ability, imho, to accelerate growth even in (especially in) an economic downturn. For the reasons that EMC's Rutgers says storage is a necessity, IT managers will still need to maximize their budgets in a lean environment driving the migration towards NAS, away from SAN.
