Ray,

Sounds like you have more than a passing interest and knowledge base in the subject. :)

I'm basically healthy as a horse and look a bit like one, I run, tylenol on very infrequent occasions is about all that I ever consume.

There's hardly any truly processed foodstuffs in our house, and I enjoy cooking from scratch anyways so its no hardship.

But meat products I have a lot less control over and it seems that avoiding them is easier (and less costly). I'm concerned that the milk we purchase and meat that we eat contains things that I would never consume myself (diet aside). Even more concerned that the current generations of kids have been consuming these foods all their lives, and we have a 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old to think about.

hmnnn... I feel a black bean dish coming soon...

Sadly we can do the right thing ourselves but the bulk of the population can continue to be over medicated and and cause all sorts of problems.

Disclaimer: Even as a vegetarian, a roast lamb shoulder done greek style always made my mouth water!
