I agree with a lot of the assumptions made in that article, but would like to point out that satellites are ideal vehicles for broadcast from one point to many points, as in satellite TV and radio. But broadcast is a finite number of channels, while internet is almost infinite. Further, internet is two way, while broadcast is one way. But obviously I do agree that satellite will be the only medium bringing Internet to most of the rural world, which is is most of the world, I am just challenging the assumption that the business models will be similar.
