History is not necessarily repeating itself here. This is something new with such an amazing fall in the NASDAQ and with Hedge Funds and institutions so in charge, perhaps more than ever. I sometimes badmouth Hedge Funds by the way, but they are way smarter than most of us. Many tech stocks are still overvalued and they realize it. I just don't understand why they sometimes short the stocks they do and ignore obvious overvalued candidates. They also remain a mystery to most, as they have not gotten a lot of press. Again, they are often taking their trading strategy and/or manipulation cues from what we are saying and doing and expressing. These groups are probably more powerful that most of us realize and we are unfortunately forced to adjust our trading styles to match theirs more than before. Especially those trying to make a living trading. You CAN make money in this market, but you have to have lots of tools and do lots of homework and be very nimble and savvy. Otherwise your only option, if you already have money in the market, is to sell it for a loss and reassess, or wait it out. What's scary are those who have money in all techs funds where the Fund Mgr. bought lots of stocks with unrealistic PE's and still don't "get it". If you are recently in tech stocks who have good growth prospects and reasonable PE's like GLW, I think things will be fine down the road. Some are just now averaging into select quality, reasonably priced stocks. That may turn out to be very smart. I am tempted to buy some TQNT or ATML or GLW here myself. But many stocks are still overpriced and there are still many who won't admit it. It could get uglier before it gets better. But don't take my word for it, just think about it, research, and assess for yourself. I am just one opinion among many. And since "you get what you pay for" and my advice is free, well, maybe I'm all wet <g> I certainly am not advocating everyone sell their Mutual Funds, the Markets could always turn around just a syou get out and I don't want to be blamed! lol!
