CB - Motivation? Well I think Mr G came from an old school that focused on the day traders and all the success. They don't like this and assume it to be thouroughly bad and it can't and shouldn't go on. They ignore the other side which is the real business end. The investment in telcos hasn't been wasted. It is in the ground and in the air and will benefit the economy for years. Even the dot.coms without real prospects were not all wasted. Some lasting beneift occured even if it was only the not insubstantial benfit of making everyone aware of what was happening technically and what was and is going to happen. Bu Mr G didn't like the easy money side and so he whacked it. I don't think he ever understood the full implications of the tech expansion. He saw a ghost of the past and whcked it. Best regards, L
