Re: Rate Cuts

Thursday's NAPM may provide AG the appropriate catalyst, with the appropriate timing given Bush's speech tonight and AG's testimony Wed. I believe it was the NAPM that prompted the surprise cut in early Jan.

I don't understand anyone worrying about an illusion of panic. It's like we're off the cliff and we should let a few branches go by before reaching out for one because we want to look cool? Greenspan has made numerous mentions of technology aiding productivity tremendously in the past. Now he waits for his end of month numbers to be presented to him, instead of using technology to make available up to the minute reports on what's going on. Cisco's top management knew exactly what the end of last quarter's results were within 24 ours of the end of it. I guess I shouldn't expect too much out of the "Fed". After all, just look at the official name of the thing: "Federal Reserve Board."
