"Your body has rights separate from yours, OR your body has rights and you do not? This follows from your post. Ask your buddy if it isn't so."

I don’t need to ask a buddy. You are not far off.

It is simple. As I have stated on a couple of occasions all of the creatures of the earth have rights over me and I have the responsibility to care for their well being. My body is a temporal creation existing on and of the earth. It has the right to be cared for by me. It needs rest, nutrition, proper stimulation, etc.

So my body has rights and I have responsibilities toward it. I have rights which are on the rest of human kind. (my claim on you, at which point we diverge)

"Of course, this raises the question of where your body ends: The brain? The mind?"

My brain is a biological component of my body. My mind extends beyond the biology of my body.

"Clearly, you believe there is something called "you" which is separate and distinct from your body."

Yes, I have a physical body that is temporal and something that is me and is not temporal.

"So--may your body masturbate you?"

I experience moral challenges. Some times it is related to my bodily desires and sometimes it is not. My body and me may be in harmony or the desires of my body may in fact present a moral challenge. Like craving foods that are not good for me, or trying do every female that is attractive to me, even though I have no right to (which is just about all of them).

Or, is this a situation where your responsibilities and your body's rights--are in moral opposition??

No. My body’s rights are limited to its well being.
