Uncle Al speaks at the Senate. While some of the senators are holding their heads trying not to fall asleep, he stated that the economy slowed further in December to almost "no growth" and there was a rise in inventories because the slow down was greater than what most companies had anticipated. On the other hand, according to him, in spite of the increase in oil prices and energy cost, inflation doesn't seem to be a threat at present and productivity increases with new technology still shall be achievable.
