While you're dying with your stocks, I found you can teach an old dog new tricks. Max is a 13 year old setter that was abandoned and we took him in. Max has never been in a house before but he has learned "Couch Potato" means get on the sofa. It's the only one he's mastered.

Day of infamy? Remember the Maine! Er, I mean the Alamo! No, Pearl Harbor! Damn, what was it I wanted to say? Oh, yes:

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.

You ask, what is our policy? I say it is to wage war by land, sea, and air. War with all our might and with all the strength God has given us, and to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.

You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs - Victory in spite of all terrors - Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival.

Unfortunately, Winston Churchill beat me to it, but he said it so well, don't you agree?

Good thing you got out of retail, I guess. A friend in New York wrote today saying "the number of empty stores in my area is increasing.I just passed by a Hold Everything that wasn't holding anything."

I thought that a very good line, worthy of publication.
