Strange how different 2 kids in the same family can be... Lawsy, Lady croc, but you said a mouthful... Ummm- but first--- garter snakes bite? Remember that one in the pool filter basket with all the leaves? He could have bitten? Oh... I have never seen a leech, in all my years of river swimming- but we love that scene in Stand By Me where the boy gets a leech in his little white Fruit of the Looms. You made friends with the living, I with the dead. I was big on funerals for any dead thing I could find. I would read aloud from My Little Missal in Latin. And sing a hymn. And cry. I followed my brother and his friends with their bb guns and dragged the injured, dying and dead home. My mother was a saint. I should forgive her her monopausal years.
