Yeah, Scotty, you are absolutely right. I think about that a lot, living not only in quake country, but in an area prone to landslides because of the clay subsoil. We get lots of slides just from the weather, especially where people have built on the hills, or behind clearcutting. A big quake at the height of a wet year would be disastrous.

Did it cause a lot of avalanches?
