bobby beara: i am now thinking that the bear market rally everybody was looking for was the january rally

One has to take note of the COMPX failure to move back above the bubble cap brimmed by the Oct 99 gap up. I mentioned at the time, that gap might turn out to have more influence than expected. The rally extension I expected was repelled at that Oct 99 gap up.

It is time to be cautious...bear market bottom plays can be as risky a trying to call a bull market top. If plays are attempted (long or short) they should only be done with high risk capital. Don't let Mr. Market steal a chunk of your mania and subsequent mania decline profits...<g> Brokers may be hard to reach, much less get orders executed in a timely manner in a calamity...(I am not calling for one, just suggesting caution.)

Just after can often be just as good as just before with less risk.

Regards,
LG
