John, Rambus has a real path to walk to win. Winning is not yet assured.
All the legalistic bombast from Rambus and their lawyers is just positive spin and needs to be tried in a court.
Years to go as there will be grounds for appeal after appeal all the way up.

John,

I have always hypothesized that the Dramurai agreed to let an American company take the heat. Hitachi (i.e. Japan) was faced with a political decision by the USITC, and the Dramurai realized that would likely be a disaster in an election year.

So Hitachi signed up, and Micron sued. Now that things are looking up, Hitachi wants to "renegotiate".
