The TV crews were not allowed in the courthouse, they were all outside. There were a lot of reporters, but it was hard to distinguish them from everyone else. There are two times when the courthouse gets really crowded, every Friday for Motions Day, and every could of months Term Day for criminal indictments, and the courthouse wasn't any more crowded than it is then. Regular trial days the Circuit courts aren't very crowded, except for witnesses who have to wait outside the hall is empty, usually.

There was definitely a carnival air outside, though.
