First one has to want to start to reform the system. second your grandma can be Grandfathered.

You're kidding. You're the first liberal to recognize this.

On social security - When your party designed the program and then controlled the government for about a half century thereafter did you ever think about the idea of making the program sustainable? When you answer that one you may get some answers to your questions.

Democrats set up this unstable pyramid scheme. This was about 1935. They've had the presidency half the time since and control of the Congress more than that. Why didn't they fix it? Blaming these problems on "demographics" is evasion. It was clear they had screwed up, they just wouldn't admit. They were like the man who jumped off a 20-story building and as he passed the tenth floor said "Everything's OK so far."

Any businessman who set up an enterprise financed like this would end up in a jail cell.
