On social security - When your party designed the program and then controlled the government for about a half century thereafter did you ever think about the idea of making the program sustainable?

The program was sustainable in 1935 -- it was the demographic changes of the next half century that primarily made it unsustainable. And there have been fixes along the way to make it sustainable.

But you cannot now divert money into privatized accounts without replacing it, no matter how much you pretend that the money is already sitting in some fictitious Social Security account.
