Java is the way to go. In IT we have real problem and on top of it we do not hire local people or retrain them, it is pathetic. IT professionals are commodity now and we gladly replace them from abroad and let our talented experienced professionals get unemployed, cause they do not have perfect fit. IMHO.

Doug,

This is called innovation; a constant improvement of the feature, functionality, and performance of the tool. I, for one, am glad we're all not still using SNA or Arcnet - if that were the case the Internet couldn't exist.

P.S. Please direct me to the list of all 1500 network protocols, no offense but I think you may be exaggerating a tad.
