Michael,
Slowdown may take longer but it may not be as deep. There is a good possibility for gradual recovery beginning in april as inventory problem works its way thru sector by sector. It may take awhile to build up momentum but by next year at this time we will be looking at favorable results and favorable yoy comparisons. Since the market anticipates future events, hopefully we can stabilize here above 2000 and begin to build the base for a summer rally as the future becomes clearer. Oracle news needs to be digested this morning by nasdaq. An up Friday would be nice but i will settle for small losses. Gravity works against us at 2000. The market has a habit of breaking through these barriers. If this occurs we probably will get a selloff of another 100-150 points. If we see 1800's we should back up the truck. If the first scenario occurs we will have time to selectively buy in the low 2000's as the market stabilize. The 1800's is to painful to hope for but if we had guts we would all make a fortune. Mike
