<<He lived and is now a born again Christian and active in some church in either Detroit or Pontiac.>>

I imagine being gunned down would qualify as a "moment of enlightenment".

TH, you said it perfectly~~ and it is certainly the best reason of all for the right "to keep and bear arms"

We completely agree on the last four points. Esp the part about keeping the government in line. Lots of people say that is just a classic "right wing extremist" thing to say, but I disagree. And no land force in the world is ever just going to waltz across this county if they elected to invade. They would suffer great losses from coast to coast. Probably never happen, but I am certain that foreign aggressors would have at least considered the resourcefulness and "will" of the American people.

An experience like that could definitely make a believer of you. He probably saw the gates of H**l opening for him.

Guess what he stole to start the whole chase and shooting ordeal? A stinking bike. What a moron.
There must be a stronger term for gross stupidity than that. If not, it needs to be invented.

You were very lucky when you came home and the moron was still there. You never know what the caged animal will do.
Yeah, VERY lucky. It wasn't until the next day that it finally came to me what had probably happened. I was having a lot of trouble from an old back injury at that time and was in no shape for a fight.

I've said a couple of times to liberals that it was likely there had times when a President looked a window of the White House, saw all those guns out there, and decided that maybe what he had in mind wasn't such a good idea after all. Both times they thought I was a lunatic for even conceiving that a President would ever think of shoving something nasty down the people's throats. Must be nice to get to spend your adulthood in Kindergarten, too.

And no land force in the world is ever just going to waltz across this county if they elected to invade. They would suffer great losses from coast to coast.
I guess if they did a good surprise nuclear first strike, they might have an easy time. If not, invading the US would be a very bad idea. Even now, I think these people make poor slaves.
