I was just outside of Bath, Illinois, a real poor place, in January when I heard a lot of out of season deer slugs being fired. The guy I was talking to said a lot of families had been without meat for several weeks and a herd of deer had been spotted. I told him I hoped they got them all, because I wanted to get home alive.
