Robbins book did it for me. Read it about six years ago and haven't eaten any meat since, still consume minimal amounts of dairy product. It's funny the way non vegetarians regard going meatless as some sort of great sacrifice or missing out on something. I don't miss anything at all, and I used to eat a pile fo fastfood burgers etc. It was a very quick process to prefferring meatless eating to the oldway...and I lost a lot of weight quite quickly too.

I read that book back in the eighties when it first came out I've been a vegetarian for 28 years. When I was in junior high school, we were shown a movie about slaughterhouses. I never ate meat again (and trust me, that caused a lot of trouble with my parents).

Anyone who saw how meat gets to your table would not eat it.

There are some great books with vegetarian recipes. Ones I currently like are

The cuisines of India and Thailand are particularly good for vegetarians, and if you like Thai food (my favorite in the world), you can eat wonderfully without missing a thing.

Good luck.
