Haim, i agree...the statistics are a masterful deceit in modern times. however, the mountain of debt that has accumulated will not be pacified by statistical wizardry when it implodes. it requires cash flows to be served. and as much as the govt. would like us to believe in its wonderful hedonic and chainweighted dollars, the debt can't be paid in those. only the real McCoy will do. so while i agree that 'they' can't afford to let the ponzi scheme end, i believe it will end anyway. no ponzi scheme could ever 'afford' to end, and yet, they all have ended, sooner or later.
