If we are talking about a pregnant woman then the fetus is all ready in existance.

I'm sorry you misunderstood. By calling the fetus a "fetus" I was acknowledging that it existed. You missed the implied part of my post--the birth process: "bringing the foetus into existence"...as a human person.

I believe you meant no one can force her to carry the fetus to term

Again: NO. I met into existence...as a human person. I am mainly focussed here on human rights, and the current laws. And the only relevance to RIGHTS is existence "as a person".

If you stop someone from killing someone else it does not mean that you own them or that either your life or hers would have no meaning.

You're reading too fast: "If we did" refers to "neither you nor I own her mind and body."

The full paragraph was this: "It is her body. If you tried to force her, she could kill herself, which would prove that neither you nor I own her mind and body. If we did, her life would have no meaning, but neither would ours--because we would not own our minds either..."

So, it goes like this: "If we did own her mind and body, her life would have no meaning, but neither would ours--because we would not own our own minds...either"

If you are not following what I am saying it is not a problem for me.

By someone else owning her mind and body, I meant that it certainly wasn't her owning it. No meaning there--not for HER. By "we would not own our own minds either", I meant....I'm going out to meet a friend for a couple of drinks now--am I?

If you don't understand it...Don't sweat it.

I really am going out--maybe...
