<What about "Baby T"? Last I heard, the foster parents were awarded permanent custody because the mother tested postive for cocaine, wouldn't cooperate with her therapists, or with the caseworkers. But she definitely had a lawyer.> "Mom" tested positive @ birth, correct. The 'baby' was like 4 when premanent custody was awarded while mom was clean the entire time. The bar just kept getting raised higher and higher once you got the JPA and other white middleclass caseworkers involved.. it was reported that the 2 1/2 year old was allowed by mom to go down the slide head first [a plastic 3 foot long one] and at another observation eating a cookie deemed inappropriate. Also, Judge Burke was deemed the 'better' parent based on their whitebread paradigm. So in typical Chicago politics the political insider [judge] gets the prize. DAK
