We had a humdinger one March - can't remember what year, it might be the one they list as the Storm of the Century in 1993 - I am pretty sure it was '95 or '96, though. Two blizzards back to back, and the first one didn't melt before the second one hit, so it was a couple of feet deep, deeper in drifts. Our street wasn't plowed for days, either. But we had electricity, lots of food, and I had stocked up on library books.
