Oh, gosh, isn't the Internet great for genealogy! And so much else! It is so good for consumers. I am such a nut about using the Internet. My husband has decided that what he want is a 1996 or 1997 Turbo Diesel Passat - none in the paper - I found several on-line, and also found a site that allows you to check the VIN of a car you are thinking about buying to see if it's been salvaged or the subject of a Lemon Law complaint.

One of my favorite uses is medical research - I hope that everyone who has a medical condition, or has a relative or a friend with a medical condition, will get online and research it. Research the drugs your physician prescribes, too. There is just too much for one health care provider to know. Protect yourself and the people you love!

I was just reading that the biggest use of bandwidth and storage on the net is cyberporn! I would think that investments and online games are up there, too. But I think more people use the net for geneaology than any other single use.
