Call it whatever you want, but Gateway now has an uncompetitive product line.

Sure Sure Sure.... Call your "opinion" whatever you want. Looks to me like Gateway had a different thought, probably based on their sales "Data". Your opinion, their data. Easy call.

Compaq is doing quite well with their leadership in introducing AMD products.

Right, they decided to keep their big mouth shut and not blame their supplier for their problems. I have a feeling their supply channel of intel products was much better than Gateway's

The good news is that due to the conservative and consistent delivery of AMD over the last two years, Intel is no longer able to block competition with their "allocation" threats.

HAW HAW HAW, Oh yes.... I've seen how well AMD has "consistantly delivered" Lately. Got a Multi Athlon Server, or Athlon laptop ya can show me???? No?? Didn't think so. Oh right, I know, it's all gonna change "In a couple of weeks" (TM: Scumbria).

Scumbria, >Compaq is doing quite well with their leadership in introducing AMD products.

Compaq said in their most recent CC that enterprise products contributed 51% of their revenues and 90% of their profits. AMD is in none of Compaq's enterprise products. Intel products are the only CPU chips used in Compaq's fastest growing market segment, which is their Industry Standard Server Group.
