Dear Scumbria: Refigure those numbers for the party controlling the House of Representatives. You see that Democratic terms are far higher than Republican terms. Next take which programs grew. Entitlement spending is the only one rising overall. And you need only one house to stop changes in any of them. Place blame on those that create the programs at fault or stop changes in them that would make them no longer at fault. The big two at fault, SS and MC although MA may make it three. All three were started by Democrat controlled periods of both houses and the Presidency. Pete
