I don't know what they are thinking, because the likely reception for tech IPOs...especially businesses focussed on the management of e-commerce websites...could simply not be worse at the moment. I can't imagine who would buy this, even with an IPO allocation. Maybe someone who has just returned from a two year tour of duty on the Mia space station. This will become an under $5 stock quicker than you can download a punctuation mark. Plus I don't see Andreessen's name as a plus on this. True, Netscape was a great IPO...the first Internet stock...but Andreessen and Co basically blew the whole thing by focussing on the browser software itself instead of Internet service as the business. They could have _owned_ the Net...but within three years Netscape and its browser was irrelevant...and all too late they tried to become a service. Sure Andreessen got lucky by coding the original browser software..but he's not a businessman. Now more than ever we need businesses to be run by business people. Pouring money at technologies just because you can do them just doesn't cut it anymore..
